Introduction

Providing sustained support to the government on the front of policy formulation as well as its implementation is one of the main activities of the Programme. Along these lines, RUPP is continuously working towards rendering contribution towards formulation and implementation of national level policies as spelled out in National Plan.

Following activities have been regularly carried out and supports have been provided in different fields to contribute towards formulation and implementation of national level policies as spelled out in the 10th Five Year Plan.

• Steering Committee Meeting
• 11th Rural Urban Networking (RUNET) Meeting
• Strategy Planning Meeting
• Initiation of Nepali e-Haat Bazaar as a National B2B e-Commerce Service of Nepal
• As a Member Secretary of Rural Tele Center Coordination Committee, supported High Level Commission for Information Technology (HLCIT) in effective implementation of Tele Centers in Nepal
• Preparation of Policy Support documents
• Supported in the preparation of National Level Directives and Guidelines to the Ministry of Local Development
• Supported to strengthen Information Section of Ministry of Local Development
